Like many people who suffer, or have suffered with acne in the past, I immediately presumed that I had oily skin as my skin used to be so greasy and aggravated. For years I invested in products designed for oily skin and didn’t particularly see any results. It was only when I ended up using the Garnier Skin Active Rose Water Botanical Day Cream, because my sister let me borrow hers when my old moisturiser had run out, that I noticed a massive difference.
It was as if my skin had changed over night – it was instantly smoother and more hydrated. This moisturiser showed me that I have dry and sensitive skin, something which I didn’t realise before. I completely recommend this wonderful moisturiser/day cream as not only does it feel amazing on the skin it also smells heavenly. It literally smells of roses!

How I Embrace My Pale Skin
The Iconic Red Lip
I’m one of those people who is almost always the lightest shade of foundation, who can look washed out even in white and gets burnt to a crisp the minute I step one foot out in sunshine. I’m as pale as can be and in a society where having a tan is so glorified it’s often hard to remember that my pale skin is beautiful too.
Red lipstick can sometimes be scary to wear out on a daily basis as it feels very flamboyant and dressy but I’m a strong believer that it can be worn in a casual way. Red lipstick will always look pretty and classy and as we begin to transition into autumn, where darker lips are all the rage, a red lipstick is a good thing to include in your daily makeup routine.
For me, my favourite red lipstick is Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in shade 13. It has a blue undertone which suits my complexion, compared to lots of other red lipsticks which have a more orange tone. It also goes on incredibly smoothly and stays put all day. I love it!
This post is not sponsored by Bourjois I honestly just love this shade and I think you will too.

Sorry this post seems a bit rushed, I’m going on holiday later this week and I’ve been very busy so this had to be written very quickly. My longer, more extensive posts will be back to normal tomorrow!

The Chanel Shoes That Broke The Internet
I admit that I haven’t perfected the art of taking a flatlay, like a lot of things to do with blogging and the photography that comes with it, I’m still learning. However I have collected together a few tips and tricks to boost up your flatlay game and show off your products in the best way possible.
In the morning before school it can often be a rush and things like doing your hair are obviously not going to be top of the list of things to do for most people. I know the struggle of looking in the mirror debating whether to use your precious couple of minutes making your hair look presentable or actually packing your bag for school. As a self confessed nerd I always tend to make sure I’m ready for school (I’m such a baby I just really don’t want to get into trouble…), but unfortunately that means my hair usually ends up looking like a scarecrow. So, learning from my mistakes, I have collected my top quick, simple and pretty hairstyles to make your morning routine a lot easier.
When going on holiday you don’t want to be lugging giant perfume bottles around. Firstly, there’s the risk of the glass bottles cracking whilst you’re travelling (which is always going to be devastating isn’t it?) and they also take up precious space in your case. Continue reading
