November Wishlist

It’s November, which is absolutely crazy because this year is simply flying by, but I’m excited to get into wearing snuggly fashion and wrapping up warm over the coming month.

A cream jumper

If there’s one thing my wardrobe is lacking in, it’s jumpers. I only seem to have a couple of jumpers that I actually like, which definitely isn’t enough, so I’m definitely on the lookout for more jumpers this month.  I’d love to invest in a cream jumper as it is a simple and classy jumper.

Ankle boots

I have quite a few pairs of heeled ankle boots but I’m also in need of more flat, Chelsea style, boots as they are far easier to walk in!

So, what did I manage to find from my October wishlist?

I’m still searching for a pink corduroy pinafore as I’ve tried many on but unfortunately I haven’t found one which fits yet! I’m still on the lookout though so hopefully I’ll find one soon. I did, however, manage to find a corduroy skirt. It wasn’t pink like I imagined in my October wishlist, but instead I picked up a cord skirt in a burgundy colour (which has featured on my blog here and here).

October Wishlist

It’s October which means it’s officially autumn, the nights are drawing in and everywhere the trees are turning red and coats are coming out. I love wrapping up warm and I’m excited to see all the Autumn trends coming out in everyone’s style. So what am I looking for this month?

Pink corduroy pinafore

I tried on a pink cord pinafore recently in Forever 21 but unfortunately it didn’t fit. Since then I’ve been determined to find one and recreate the look which I fell in love with in Forever 21. I was planning to pair it with a high neck, ruffled blouse and hopefully that look can still come to fruition!

Pink cord skirt

Can you tell I’m obsessed with cord this season? Especially pink cord, of course. I’ve seen this look on other bloggers and I think it’s a very pretty style which I hope to recreate. I love this cord trend as it’s very vintage.

So, what did I manage to find from my September wishlist?

I’m still searching for my perfect suede jacket as I can’t find one in the perfect dusky pink shade, but I refuse to give up! There are suede jackets all over the shops at the minute and I can’t wait to pick one up. I did however manage to find a black roll neck top and I’m sure I’ll pick up more in the near future.

September Wishlist

We’re slowly moving into the autumnal months, a time where I’ll need to be updating my wardrobe to keep up with current trends. It’s also my birthday month (I’m turning 18) so hopefully, thanks to my wonderful friends and family, I should have a little bit more money to spend. Read on to see what I’m on the lookout for. July Wishlist

The summer solstice has been and gone and now it is officially summertime! Over the past couple of weeks in the UK we’ve had an extremely hot heatwave, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees and the summer clothes have definitely made a big reappearance.

1. Denim shorts

Denim shorts are a necessity for anybody’s summer wardrobe and they’re the easiest things to just throw on on holiday with any vest top or t-shirt and make an instant outfit. The current pair in my wardrobe are an acid wash, high waisted pair which don’t really suit my style anymore so I’m looking to invest in a light denim pair to match my new, brighter wardrobe.

2. A bikini cover-up

A bikini cover-up not only lets you feel more covered and classy round the pool it also protects your skin, which for someone with a very fair complexion is very important! Preferably I want a white one as this will go with the majority of my swimsuits and bikinis.

3. Brown sandals

Brown gladiator style sandals would go perfectly with summer dresses, playsuits and many other summer outfits whilst looking very fashionable and chic. Recently I’ve been leaning more towards sandals over flip-flops as they’re more secure which is better for walking around on daytrips on holiday or down the beach.

So, what did I manage to find from my June wishlist?

I haven’t managed to find a plain pair of white heels, which is quite annoying as I feel they would be staple pieces in my wardrobe as a lot of the clothes I wear are white or other pastel colours. My sister kindly lent me her pair of block heels in white and mint green which I can wear with a gorgeous dress I picked up from ASOS, which I’m sure will feature on my blog at some point. I’m still on the hunt for a plain pair of white block heels, I’ll update you if I find a pair!

In terms of occasion wear I have picked up a couple of dresses, though a couple of them wouldn’t really be suitable for daywear. I would say I’ve partway achieved this goal as I still need to invest in a few more wearable pieces.

After being inspired by Freddy Cousin-Brown’s new obsession with neck ties I decided to look for some myself but I’m yet to find my perfect one. However, when I mentioned the idea to my mom she got very excited as it turns out she has a large collections of scarves and neck ties in her wardrobe which I’m going to have a rummage through very soon.

That covers everything from last month’s wishlist, more next month!

June Wishlist

Britain’s sun has finally appeared, I’ve been abroad and my summer wardrobe has definitely come out. Now is the time for the outfits to accentuate the all important tan and make you look chic whether you’re lounging by the pool or out shopping in the sunshine. So what am I looking for this June?

1. White heels

I realised the other day that I don’t own a pair of simple white heels. These are such a versatile pair of shoes, especially in the summer when the majority of outfits are light coloured, so I’m definitely on the hunt for a pair. Ideally I’d get a low block pair as they’re definitely in style right now (and far easier to walk around in!), perhaps with an ankle tie as these are really pretty.

2. Occasion wear

Wearing occasion wear in the daytime is a trend that I could definitely latch on to. This doesn’t mean wearing a ballgown to Tesco, but instead wearing slightly more ornate dresses or skirts than would normally be advertised as ‘day dresses’. Josie from Fashion Mumblr pulls off this trend spectacularly and I hope to accomplish it just as well.

3. Neck ties

I’m not too sure about this one but I’ve seen Freddy Cousin Brown trying them out and thought I’d give them a go. They’re nothing like anything I’d ever usually wear but at the minute I’m trying to broaden my fashion horizons and this could be a good place to start.

So, what did I manage to find from my May wishlist?

My search for tailored shorts was successful and I got a gorgeous paper bag waist, high waisted pair from ASOS. They were £22 but honestly looked so high end! They cinch me in at the waist and they’re a lovely, classy length. I’m honestly head over heels for these shorts.

I’m yet to find any camisole tops that I really like but I’m still on the hunt. However, the main reason for getting a camisole top was to pair it with the shorts mentioned above and I’ve found an alternative for that, my white sleeveless blouse mentioned in my Primark haul. So, we’ll see if I need to invest in a cami!

That covers everything from last month’s wishlist, more next month!

May Wishlist

Is it too optimistic to claim that the summer weather has arrived? Either way, as a classic British person I have reacted to the one ray of sunshine that has graced us and decided to whip out my summer dresses and sandals. Trust me, living in a country that is almost constantly raining has taught me that any sunshine constitutes a summer’s day. So I’m on the look out for some great summer pieces to really show off the fact that the sun has finally arrived!

1. Tailored shorts

I’ve been planning out some looks for summer lookbooks and with the change in my style I’ve decided my summer short collection needs an update. At the minute my shorts are mainly denim and don’t particularly suit my new prim and proper fashion sense. So instead, this year I’ve decided to try and find some tailored shorts, preferably with a bow to tie them up round the waist and a high waist. These look so classy and I can imagine them fitting in perfectly with the rest of my new, better wardrobe.

2 . Camisole tops

When thinking what to pair with these shorts I hope to buy, my immediate thought was a silky cami top with lace details. Paired with those shorts I think that this would create an extremely classy, sophisticated outfit while the material would be great for keeping you cool throughout the summer months.

So, what did I manage to find from my April wishlist?

I’m yet to return to Primark to try and find those pink brogues but I’ve got my heart set on them so they’ll definitely be in my wardrobe some time soon (as long as they don’t sell out, fingers crossed!) I’ve got some white Toms style slip ons which go great with summer dresses though so I have managed to find some flat shoes!

I’ve bought a lovely navy floral playsuit from Primark and I’m still on the hunt for day dresses. H&M had some lovely ones for only £9-£15; I was in shock! Unfortunately they didn’t have my size for the one I really wanted on the rail and I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t have time to go asking staff but next time I’m out shopping I’m heading straight there.

That covers everything from last month’s wishlist, more next month!

April Wishlist

Spring has officially sprung and the warmer weather has started appearing, along with the occasional April showers of course. Springtime means lots more flowery clothes and pastel, light colours which clearly I’ll love; so what’s on my wishlist this month?

1. Pink flat shoes

I have discovered a major problem with my wardrobe recently – I have barely any flat shoes! I have every colour imaginable for heels but when it comes to flats I have very limited choices, so I’m on the hunt for a pretty pair of pink flats to pair with my pink and white springtime outfits. I saw a gorgeous pair of pink suede brogues in Primark the other day but unfortunately they didn’t have my size so I’m going to have to go back and try and get them!

2. Day dresses

I love how easy it is to just throw on a light, flowing day dress in the spring and summer months so I’m on the lookout for some more. That way I can simply pair them with cute slip ons or sandals and I’m good to go. I’d also settle for playsuits as well as dresses because they’re just as easy and pretty to wear.

So, what did I manage to find from my March wishlist?

I’m still on the lookout for more skirts to pair with my pink blouse but in he meanwhile I’ve found that it goes very well with a black embroidered piece I bought a couple of months ago. Paired with short pink heels I have a very classy, dressed up look in no time!

Instead of buying more cardigans I decided to save some money and go on the hunt for old ones I used to own and dig them back out for the back of my wardrobe. I found a very pretty baby pink one which I think really matches my style, as well as a baby blue one and a white one.

I’m still searching for the Victoriana top of my dreams but I have managed to find a white blouse that is somewhat inspired the style. I’m still looking though so I’ll keep you updated, hopefully there’ll be more lacy pieces now that Spring is here!

That covers everything from last month’s wishlist, more next month!

March Wishlist

We’re heading towards Spring but the weather is still somewhat cool, especially if you’re living in rainy old England, so it’s time to still wrap up warm in cardigans and jumpers but slowly introduce lighter, springtime colours. This month I’m on the lookout for a few things, of course I’ll update you on what I found at the start of next month’s wishlist!

1. A skirt to pair with my pink blouse

I’m in desperate need of a skirt to pair with a gorgeous baby pink blouse I bought recently; I was thinking of aiming for a floral, skater style one but I’m up for anything that takes my fancy.

2. Cardigans, cardigans and more cardigans!

I need more cardigans in my life I’ve decided, whether this means buying new cardigans or digging around for old cardigans that I can bring into my new style I need Spring coloured cardigans! I’m going to look for a pink one preferably as my main aim for this year is to introduce more pink into my wardrobe, though any light colour would do.

3. A Victoriana style lacy top or blouse

I’ve seen a few of these intricately detailed tops around and I’ve fallen in love. I think they’d really suit my style as they’re very prim and proper looking whilst remaining young and girly. Im yet to find one cheap enough for me to consider buying but it’s on my wishlist!

So, what did I manage to find from my September wishlist?

I know it’s been a while but I did promise to update you on what I found!

I found a gorgeous, scallop edged suedette skirt from PrettyLittleThing.com that I absolutely adore. Not only is it suede and a beautiful shape, it is also a pretty pink colour, which makes it even better!

I bought an extremely sophisticated, classy pussybow blouse from Forever 21 which looks really nice paired with the skirt I mentioned before. It’s white with black detailing and I’ve since paired it with many skirts in my wardrobe.

Over the winter period I’ve worn the black Chelsea boots I bought from Primark to death, I swear they were the addition to every outfit, I don’t know how I survived without them!

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a bardot top with a choker that I really liked but I could perhaps search again come the summer months. I also never managed to find the perfect pair of blue skinny jeans; I must have tried on every pair in a 100 mile radius!

That covers everything from last month’s wishlist, more next month!

September 2016 Wishlist

This is a list of all the things I’m searching for in September 2016.  I’ll be looking for these beauties to complete my looks and add to my wardrobe as we begin to transition into autumn. I will tell you all how much of it I managed to get at the start of next month’s wishlist.

1. Blouse with a pussycat bow

I’m in love with pussycat bows coming back into style as I think they’re so classic and elegant, I feel so sophisticated when I’m wearing a nice blouse with pussybow detail. I’m aiming for a black and white blouse, preferably with a black bow but I also wouldn’t mind a coloured blouse, perhaps dusky rose or burgundy. I’d pair this blouse with a skater skirt, tights and boots to make a wintery, grown up outfit feel a little more girly. If I found a blouse made of a material like chiffon or something similar I could possibly wear a bralette underneath to incorporate the underwear as outerwear trend without going too over the top.

2. Bardot top with choker

Although bardot tops are seen as a more summery thing I feel like I could possibly find one to last well into the autumn months. I’m aiming for a suedette, long sleeved bardot top with a matching choker. I’ve seen this look all over the place online and I think it just looks so pretty, I’ve been searching for one for a while so it’s definitely on my wishlist.

3. Blue skinny jeans

Shocking fact about me, I don’t own any dark blue jeans. I’m definitely more of a black skinny jeans kind of girl but I have a sudden desire to get some high waisted, medium blue, super skinny jeans that I can pair with a large variety of outfits. My jean collection is rather small as up until a couple of years ago when I went through the classic teenage, borderline emo phase and bought some staple black skinny jeans, I absolutely hated jeans with a passion. My best friend honestly couldn’t believe it when she saw me in jeans for the first time! I think the problem was I could never find a good getting pair of jeans so just assumed that all jeans were frumpy and uncomfortable but now I know what to look for I’m excited to find some blue jeans.

4. Suedette mini skirt

Mini skirts are possibly the most gorgeous thing in the entire world and I’m honestly addicted, that’s why I’m so surprised that I don’t actually own a suede one yet. I adore the trend of buttoned up skirts so I’d prefer one like that, probably in burgundy or brown as lots of my outfits are those colours. I can definitely see myself wearing it with cute patterned tights and boots all through the winter months.

5. Black Chelsea boots

Chelsea boots are such a classic, staple item that I’m actually ashamed to say I don’t have a pair. This year I’m determined to find a nice black pair that I can wear with a great number of outfits whether it be jeans or tights and a skirt.
